Uroko began as a way to share artwork shaped by time on the water and a deep respect for marine life. While our apparel carries that spirit on the go, our Limited Edition Fine Art Collection was created to bring that same energy into your home, office, or coastal space. Here is a look inside how artist Alex Czech translates real observations offshore into museum-grade metal and canvas prints—and how to choose the right piece for your space.

Grounded in Experience, Shaped by Imagination

Every piece in the Uroko fine art collection lives at the intersection of real observation and artistic interpretation. While every drawing reflects hours spent fishing, diving, and observing marine life along the coast, it isn't just about scientific accuracy—artistic decisions, scale, movement, and imagination are woven into every line.

Whether it’s the quiet golden tones of a trout moving through clear current or the electric movement of pelagic game fish, these works aim to evoke the feeling of being out on the water and bring a piece of that quiet coastal spirit into your everyday environment.

Meet the Artist: Alexander Schaffer-Czech

Calling Santa Cruz, California home, Alexander Schaffer-Czech holds a BFA in Painting from the San Francisco Art Institute and has spent decades balancing his work as a fine artist, high school art teacher, and dedicated waterman. When he isn't teaching graphic design and painting to the next generation, he’s out in the lineup, on a boat, or in his studio capturing the ocean lifestyle.
